Hi, welcome to my blog.
My name is Melissa Gijsbers. I’m an author and the mum of a couple of speedcubers.
If you’re new, a speedcuber is someone who solves a Rubik’s cube really, really fast.
I was introduced to the World of speedcubing in 2015 when my older son saw someone on camp solving a cube, and then picked up his dad’s old cube shortly afterwards. This soon became his passion. He now collects cubes and has his own YouTube channel!
His younger brother can also solve cubes, though he is not as passionate/obsessed as his older brother.
I started this blog to share my experiences with other parents of cubers, share some observations and some tips on how to survive as the parent of a cuber.
Oh, and I can’t solve cubes myself!!
